All my pieces are made from stoneware clay and fired to the stoneware temperature (1260 degrees celsius), which makes them very strong and durable. However, they would prefer not to be exposed to extreme conditions such as extreme heat or cold; hence, handwashing is preferable for a piece to last a long time.
